New York and New Jersey

We've been making progress. Port Jeff to Oyster Bay and the next day on through New York City(always exciting and inspiring) and on to Sandy Hook NJ. Spent a rolly night in Sandy Hook off the Coast Guard Base. It is a pretty spot but weather and /or many ferry wakes make for a lively night. New Jersey took several days. We had a great time seeing my mother and sister Joanne at Island Heights Tom's River. wild weather and gales holding us in Cape May for several days. In spite of the impatience I was feeling, I was again surprised at how lovely New Jersey is.

There is no way that New Jersey can be beautiful!

There are *many* beautiful places in Jersey. Try Spring Hill for a start. Follow up with Long Beach Island and Cape May.

Glad to hear you guys are finally moving south. I hope you have been able to stow those winter coats by now.

All here continues on as you would expect, good but colder.

If I had known you would be in Cuttyhunk, Toms River, Cape May,and Newport News, I would have had you deliver my jams to customers!
We hauled the sailboat and hobie 4 days before the big winds hit and we were really lucky. Fireplace going and hot tea. Glad to see your progress. Enjoying your literary style.
